Woof Wear Medical Hoof Boot creates a snug covering over hoof poultices, packing, and bandages to keep the area clean and protected. The flexible, comfortable hoof boot can be worn continuously until the next bandage or poultice change. Woof Wear Medical Hoof Boot is lightweight and comfortable for your horse. It is designed to be worn in the stall or corral and can withstand light use in the paddock. It is not intended for use while riding, turning out, lunging, or any other exercise. Intended as a cost effective way to keep poultice and packing in place without endless rolls of tape, adhesive wrap, cotton, and wraps. Can also be used over a wrap if you're concerned about medication getting on heel bulbs or skin.

If your horse is active, you can place a bell boot over the medicine boot to prevent the horse from overreaching and stepping on it. Medical boot can be used on a hoof with or without a horse shoe. Great solution for horses with an abscess, sole bruise, hoof resection, or simply losing a shoe. The boot has a grooved sole for good traction and a durable Kevlar interior. Kevlar is extremely strong while remaining lightweight and flexible. Woof Wear Medical Boot should last 2-3 weeks with normal use, and possibly more. If only used for a few days at a time, it would be reusable for multiple hoof treatments. This is not a permanent, indestructable boot, but one designed for one or more hoof treatments. If your horse is a "gentle on boots and blankets" type, the boot may last longer.

The most important component of the Woof Wear boot is fit. It must have a very close fit in order to prevent shavings, dirt, and debris from getting inside. There are several sizes available to ensure proper fit and the asymmetrical zipper helps maintain a close fit and prevent the boot from coming loose. Sturdy zipper has a neoprene hood to prevent contact with horse's skin. Since the boot must not fall off or be loose enough for your horse to step on it with another hoof, measuring accurately is important. Do not size up to allow extra room for dressings. Measure the width of your horse's hoof, across the frog, wall to wall. Consult the size guide. Do not size up.
