8/1/2026 Part Time Seasonal Show Shuttle Driver!

Mary’s Tack & Feed in Del Mar CA.

Mary’s is hiring immediately for a super fun part time position to fill! We are looking for someone to drive our customer service “golf cart-shuttle” back and forth from Our store to Del Mar Horsepark during the weeks they are hosting horse shows. The Horse shows are a very short distance immediately next door. It’s a safe traffic path to and from that does not involve any street driving (to be clear). This position is best filled by someone who enjoys horse show culture, loves horses, dogs, kids and being friendly. Someone with a natural “hosting” nature.

Qualifications are:

• Clean DMV: This is not driving on the street EVER; the DMV is for insurance reasons.
• Enjoys working around people, kids, dogs and horses.
• Wise when working around people kids, dogs and horses. Horses and dogs are around the grounds and you’ll need to be respectful of them and their nature.
• Considerate, kind and polite. A natural “host”
• 18 or older
• Comfortable driving a golf cart -training provided.
• Comfortable taking payments with a mobile phone and Zettle device (training provided)
• Responsible and conscientious.
• Works well independently with little supervision.
• Bi-lingual a plus?

Responsibilities Include:

• Be available for Next door Horse Show Weeks.
• Shuttle customer’s safely from Del Mar Horse park to Mary’s Tack and Feed back and forth on a 15–20-minute schedule.
• Give out water, carrots, treats and smiles in the process.
• Be prepared to deliver product and take a mobile payment with a electronic device, check recipient ID and get signature proof of delivery.
• Prepare golf cart for the day by:
  • checking electric charge,
  • wiping down,
  • rinsing off at end of day
  • stocking goodies, ice cooler and handouts.
• Put cart away at end of night and be sure to set up charging.
• Put left over goodies away.
• Report to floor manager any problems or concerns from the day.
• Represent Mary’s Tack professionally and identify opportunities to serve our customer’s
• There is an opportunity to get work hours in the store when horse shows are not happening and the shuttle is not needed. Those hours would include pulling product for orders, tagging, organizing, packaging as needed by the company.

 

 

 

 

 

Schedule is Part time up to 28 hours During Horse Show Weeks

Horse show work hours are typically but do require some flexibility:

• Wednesday 10-5
• Thursday 10-5
• Friday 10-5
• Saturday 10:30-4
• Sunday 10:30-4

During non-horse show weeks hours are as needed by the company.

Pay is $17.75 per hour.

Phone Operator / Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

The Phone Operator Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Mary's Tack & Feed. This position provides administrative support across multiple departments including Sales, Buying, Accounting, Training, and Management.

Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong communication skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to help keep the business running smoothly.

 What You'll Do

• Manage overflow phone calls, voicemail, and customer communications.
• Provide administrative support to management, buyers, and accounting.
• Track customer repairs, dry cleaning, engraving, evaluations, and other service programs.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and business documents.
• Assist with scheduling, employee timekeeping, travel arrangements, and event preparation.
• Coordinate vendor returns (RTVs), working with buyers, vendors, and accounting to ensure defective merchandise is processed accurately and efficiently.
• Help organize inventory-related administrative tasks, maintain donation records, communicate inventory adjustments, and support the flow of merchandise through various disposition channels.
• Support sales reporting, contests, goals, and recognition programs.
• Maintain office organization, employee bulletin boards, store signage, and break room supplies, including overseeing monthly refrigerator clean outs and helping ensure the break room remains clean, stocked, and welcoming for the team.
• Pitch in with day-to-day operational tasks and special projects as needed.
