Myler Low Port Comfort Snaffle Eggbutt without hooks has Myler's MB 04 mouth 14mm thickness for greater pressure on bars and lips. Stainless steel mouthpiece with copper inlay tapers to 11.11 mm in center for extra comfort and tongue relief. This is a Myler Level 2 bit, designed for horses that are showing some resistance to a Level 1 bit, are green but have a good disposition, or are older and are training or retraining.
The comfort snaffle low port mouth has a slight 1/4" port that allows more tongue relief than Level 1 mouthpieces. It's a 14mm mouthpiece that's slightly thicker toward the sides for a bit more pressure at bars and lips. Copper inlay encourages salivation and softening of the mouth. Center barrel acts as a bushing to allow independent side movement. This gives the horse a clearer signal from you with the use of one rein and assists with lateral flexion and shoulder control. To determine your horse's Myler bit size, use a wooden dowel or spoon handle where the bit would go. When horse is relaxed, mark the wood and measure between the two marks. If between sizes, go up to the next size to allow proper fit (at least 1/8"-1/4" of bit showing on each side of mouth)
