TROXEL
You probably never would guess that Troxel was established in 1898. Though the equestrian helmet division wasn't created till 1990, the Troxel company itself started manufacturing bicycle seats and parts in 1898. Troxel even introduced the banana bicycle seat. Over time, Troxel evolved and grew, adding production of juvenile products for Fisher-Price, Playskool, and others. Troxel switched from children's products to automotive products in 2008, producing tubing for car seat systems. Always innovating and keeping up with technology is a hallmark of Troxel and the Troxel Helmets company. It is one of the reasons why their equestrian helmets are so popular today.
Troxel helmets are recognized for their safety, fit, comfort, and contemporary style. Troxel developed the first lightweight vented riding helmet that was ASTM approved. Troxel utilized the expertise of Dr. Richard M. Timms and his research at the prestigious Scripps Institute and University of California to improve head protection for equestrians. Troxel has led the way in many innovations, including helmets for Western riders, an accident helmet replacement program, removable washable liners, and fit systems. Troxel is based in San Diego, California, with its world class medical and head injury research centers, top level equestrians, and wealth of technological expertise. Troxel is proud of its long history of producing safety products and industry innovations. It is the leading provider of ASTM/SEI certified riding helmets, not just in America, but in the world.
