Berlin Custom Leather is local to Millersburg Ohio, a village in Holmes County with a strong Amish and Mennonite history. Berlin Leather's headquarters on Township Road, off the Amish Country Byway, is set among farms and Bed & Breakfasts. It is just west of the township of Berlin, which owes its name to the hometowns of its two founders - one from Berlin, Germany and the other from Berlin, Pennsylvania! The Herhsberger and Yoder families are at the heart of Berlin Custom Leather. This family-run business crafts high quality horse tack with an authentic cowboy focus. Their "Ultimate Cowboy Gear" relies a great deal on Hermann Oak harness leather, a beautifully durable leather that's carefully processed to be weather-resistant, flexible, and strong. Berlin uses a variety of hardware, including stainless steel and solid brass. Their Cowboy Culture Series consists of Western tack made from Hermann Oak harness leather with burnished edges and gorgeous fancy copper hardware.

Berlin Leather is also popular for its line of synthetic tack. Berlin uses genuine Beta BioThane, a webbed material coated in a co-polymer that makes it waterproof, flexible, and durable. Biothane comes in a rainbow of colors so Berlin's Biothane headstalls, reins, and breast collars have found their way into the endurance riding world as well as trail riding and everyday riding. Biothane tack from Berlin is very low maintenance, requiring only soap and water cleaning when needed.
