Acavallo Gel Chain Guard
Acavallo Gel Chain Guard protects the horse's chin from rubbing and soreness due to the bridle's curb chain. Gentle and effective bridle part helps prevent sores and irritation while still allowing the function of the curb chain with a leverage bit. This is a great accessory for English bridles and western headstalls. There is an opening at the center for the lip strap ring on your curb chain. The Gel Chain Guard is easy to attach. Acavallo suggests attaching the included zip tie to the end of the curb chain then submerging the chain and the chain guard in cold soapy water. This will make it slick enough to easily insert the end of the zip tie and pull the chain through. Rinse and let dry. The chain guard will return to its gummy, squishy state again and be ready for use.
