TKEQ
For founder Kaelyn Kennedy, the TKEQ brand represents a passion for horses and the desire to create something modern and unique. Kaelyn has ridden since she was a small child, thanks to a cool mom who is a lifelong equestrian! As a teen, Kaelyn struggled to find comfortable, contemporary riding clothes for herself. With her mom's help, she started simple with designs for graphic T-shirts and sweatshirts, and TKEQ was born.
The brand name TKEQ stands for Team Kennedy Equestrian. When Kaelyn and her mom had shown in the hunter ring, other riders and trainers called them Team Kennedy, so it was a logical choice. From basic tops created in her parents' basement, TKEQ has grown tremendously since 2016.
Kaelyn focuses on creating pieces that she wants to wear herself, with performance materials, versatility as riding apparel and activewear, and a focus on sustainability. TKEQ is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and utilizes WRAP-certified manufacturing facilities and ethically-sourced materials. From Kennedy Seamless Shirts to show shirts, sweaters, jackets, hats, and pullovers, TKEQ has something for everyone.
