The Springsteen snaffle, also called a " run through" or "spoon" bit is a severe correctional bit designed to be used by experienced, professional riders. To use the Springsteen, attach the headstall to the small loose rings and the reins to the larger rings. The spoons collapse onto the jaw as pressure is applied to the reins in a Hackamore like function with very little mouth pressure. The Springsteen snaffle bit has 2 inch rings, a 15 mm mouth and is available in size 5 that fits most horses.
