The Hollow Pipe Mouth Loose Ring bit can be a good choice for horses that are heavy on the forehand. This type of bit with holes in the mouthpiece is sometimes called a "windsucker bit", but that is not the actual purpose. The Hollow Pipe Mouth Loose Ring is not for use in the stall or to prevent wind sucking. A hollow mouthpiece with holes traps saliva and makes the horse swallow more frequently.
