A curb gag can be helpful on horses that tend to be long and heavy in the front. A curb gag looks in many ways like a regular gag but the Fager Curb Gag applies pressure on the chin/curb instead of over the neck. This is good for strong horses that can get too long and low. Fager recommends using 2 reins, one attached to the gag cheek and one attached to the snaffle.
