EquiFit Gel Compression Knee Boots
Reduce inflammation, control swelling, and decrease injury risk with EquiFit GelCompression Knee Boots. The outer shell of the GelCompression Boot provides optional and adjustable air compression via a removable hand pump. This eliminates bulky machines and cables associated with traditional cold therapy and simplies cold/hot therapy application.
EquiFit GelPaks can be used hot or cold. They retain intense cold or heat and stay pliable to conform to the horse's leg. Gel Compression Knee Boots are convenient and effective to use before or after exercise for any hard-working horse. They come in a set of two with GelPak inserts. EquiFit GelCompression Knee Boots are ideal for the treatment of arthritis, bone injuries, swelling, and tendonitis.
Cold Therapy Application Procedure
1. Place GelPaks in freezer for six hours before initial use. After use return to freezer immediately.
2. Lay GelPak flat and evenly disperse gel before placing in corresponding (right or left) boot.
3. Place uncompressed boot against the leg. Secure with Velcro attachments.
For Compression:
4. Attach pump, turn valve to 'On' position and pump to desired level of compression. (8-12 pumps supplies approximately 35mm HG pressure.)
5. Once desired compression is reached, turn valve to 'Off' position and detach tube.
6. To end therapy, turn valve to 'On" position to deflate boot before removing from leg.
