The company designs and manufactures their saddle pads in Montreal, Canada. They materials are sourced in North America to ensure quality and safety.
Ecogold was founded by John Da Silva, a textile engineer. His innovative designs included the uniquely shaped cross-country saddle pad, which became a standard for eventing horses. Keeping horse's cooler and more comfortable is still a goal today at EcoGold. John’s daughter, Patricia Da Silva, is the head of EcoGold and is carrying on his legacy of new saddle pads with a focus on ethical sourcing and sustainability. The vegan, ethically produced Flip Half Pad Matte is the first saddle pad of its kind and Mary's is proud to offer it, along with several other EcoGold saddle pads, to our customers.
