The Hay Ball Feeder lets horses and ponies eat in a natural grazing position and helps slow them down for better digestion. It's a great tool for horses on stall rest to help keep them occupied. Burlingham Hay Ball Feeder has a 5" cap that unscrews so you can easily fill the feeder with hay. Screw the cap on and roll it into your horse's stall, corral, or pasture and let the amusement begin. The recessed holes help prevent dirt contamination while the polygon shape allows the ball to stop while your horse plucks out hay. While the Hay Ball Feeder can hold up to 6-1/2 lbs. of hay, we highly recommend using about half that amount so it's not too difficult for your horse to remove the hay. The Burlingham Sports Hay Ball Feeder is made in the USA in one piece from strong polyethylene for durability.
