Aidan Keogh started riding horses at age 3 on his parents' farm in Ireland. He began his international competition career at age 16 as a Junior 3-Day Event rider. He attributes his successful career to self-discipline, consistency, attention to detail, and efficiency that honed his natural talent. This was also how the famous Tredstep Half Chap came to be! Aidan wanted a half chap that would improve contact with his horse and be both comfortable and durable. He succeeded in creating just that. Mary's Tack has carried the Tredstep Original Suede Half Chaps and Deluxe Half Chaps for decades and they continue to be a tried-and-true favorite.
Aidan Keogh and the Tredstep designers continue to create and innovate. Professional riders around the world use and test Tredstep products and provide feedback for perfecting them. Years of riding, training, and competing in dressage, show jumping, and eventing gave Aidan keen insight into the needs of riders. He has designed and improved riding breeches, competition shirts, jackets, and tall boots for men, women, and children.
