There really is a Sam behind Samshield. Sam Maloigne was an experienced professional motocross racer and then sales manager for Oakley eyewear. He began riding horses in 2003 with friends who were competitive equestrians. His first riding helmet proved to be a big disappointment and he soon discovered his rider friends weren't happy, either. Sam put his motorcycle helmet expertise and passion for beautiful design into creating his own riding helmet. With the Samshield line of helmets, Sam Maloigne managed to unite superior materials, comfortable fit, elegant design, and exceptional safety. Samshield helmets use materials commonly found in motorcycle helmets and have an ingeniously engineered ventilation system that eliminates the need for large air vents.
