DY'ON
The Dy'on brand was founded in 1989 by Belgian rider and farrier Philippe Dion. Finding himself low on funds but needing a pair of full chaps, he designed and made a pair with assistance from his aunt, a seamstress. The chaps were so handsome and well made that many horse people who saw them wanted a pair, too. From making one pair a week the first year, his business grew to a pair a day by the second year, necessitating his first workshop.
Four years later, in 1994, Philippe began making bridles and leather goods. Dy'on is devoted to innovation, better performance, the best quality, and putting the horse's comfort first. The Dy'on brand is focused on horse comfort with ergonomic tack, especially bridles and crown pieces. Durable European leather that is vegetable tanned and carefully inspected is key to the long lasting beauty.
