ANDIS
Andis, incorporated in 1922, had humble beginnings, like many classic American companies. Matthew Andis was a tool maker in Racine, Wisconsin, and developed his first hair clipper using new motor technology. Assembled by the Andis family in the basement of their home, the clippers were sold door to door to local barbers and eventually across the country. The first model of the Andis Master Clipper was a huge hit and the company prospered and grew. Over the years, the Andis company was run by Matthew Andis then his son, grandson, and now great-grandson.
Andis is truly a family business with a global reach. Andis expanded into the animal care market in the early 1970s and the horse and dog grooming clippers are popular for their ease of use, precision, and durability. Andis has a factory in the USA and another in China; most of the clipper blades and many of the animal clippers are manufactured in the United States. Andis makes ceramic edge blades that run cooler than steel blades, heavy duty Cordless Horse and Cattle Clippers, the Pro Clip Pulse Ion Adjustable Blade Clipper, Clipper Oil, Blade Care Plus, and more. Mary's has all the horse clippers, dog clippers, and clipper blades you need for grooming your pet at home or clipping your horse at the barn to prepare for a show. For nearly 100 years Andis has focused on technology, its family-run business model, and providing information to consumers to enable them to use their products effectively. Mary's Tack offers Andis clippers and accessories online and in store, with great customer service and competitive pricing.
