Stübben Steeltec 2-in-1 Jointed 3-Ring
The Stübben 2-in-1 Jointed 3-Ring Bit offers two intensity levels by simply switching which edge of the bit lays against the horse's tongue; if the more angular edge of the bit is towards the horse's tongue, it is more intense impact, while the round edge of the bit has a softer impact.

All Stübben 2-in-1 bits are marked with a "+" sign to indicate which edge is against the horse's tongue. If the + is visible on the mounting (left) side, the more angular edge is against the horse's tongue. If you cannot see the + sign from the mounting side, you know that the softer side is in use. Switching up the edge you're using from time to time can help prevent desensitization of the horse's mouth. This is also a great bit for a horse that goes easily at home, but might get a little stronger at shows - you get to keep using the bit you're used to, but can swap to the more angular edge.
