The low port provides tongue relief as slight pressure is applied to the bars of the mouth and to the palate. The rugged rasp texture on the outer shanks adds distinctive style.

The Rasp Low Port Barrel Bit cheek has a 2.5 inch purchase with a 5 inch swept back shank that offers good leverage and control. When properly adjusted, it is still considered a mild cheek, but one with plenty of leverage for control at increased speeds. Each side of the mouthpiece works independently from the port for increased lateral flexion.
