The Matrix T3 Ergonomic Half Pad brings high tech impact protection to your horse in a lightweight breathable saddle pad. The unique elongated front ergonomic design provides support and protection for the back and critical muscle groups while allowing increased motion range for shoulders. This great looking therapeutic half pad draws heat and moisture from horse's back to help stay drier and cooler while working and can be used on top of any quilted square pad. Hook and loop closure along spine of pad allows you to access the inserts.

CoolBack lining underneath is a practical and durable 100% polyester. The 1" high pile orthopedic fleece is cool and soft against your horse's back. CoolBack is specially designed for equestrian use and has consistent thickness, loft, and quality plus superior breathability and resilience. The half pad's top fabric is ETC anti-friction material that grips your saddle, is moisture wicking, breathable, stain resistant, and easy to clean; the Matrix T3 Ergonomic Half Pad with CoolBack is machine washable and dryer safe. WoolBack is made of wool, which, like sheepskin, is a natural fiber. WoolBack is a 100% machine washable virgin wool that Toklat specifically designed for equestrian products. It has a 1" pile so it has good compression and is a little bit more resilient than sheepskin because of the way it is manufactured. It has the thermodynamic properties of sheepskin; it wicks about 20% of its weight in moisture, so it is really good at removing moisture from the horses back. Woolback will dissipate heat almost equally to sheepskin and also has the benefits of being machine washable and less expensive. WoolBack pads are available in White (with Natural WoolBack).

Ortho-Impact Inserts from Toklat are suitable for general riding and training. These inserts are beneficial for horses who have uneven muscle development, weaker back muscles, or a less-than-perfect saddle fit. Ortho-Impact insert has two layers consisting of 5 mm of ultra-thin, ultra-light Poron XRD bonded to a 12 mm layer of medium density viscoelastic foam. These materials provide stability and impact protection. Poron XRD is a high density open cell foam that absorbs 90% of impact energy. It minimizes bounce, protects the horse's back muscles, and gives the rider greater seat security. The viscoelastic foam fills in gaps and lets the saddle settle and stabilize for cushioning without interfering with range of motion. Remove Ortho-Impact inserts before washing pad.
